The animated film shows an orangutan making a child’s bedroom its home after its mother and rainforest habitat were destroyed by growers of palm oil, a vegetable oil that’s found in roughly half of all packaged products sold in supermarkets. Such destruction has contributed to orangutans being classified as critically endangered.
